Supporting Energy Efficiency in the Community
Through our ongoing partnership with NEA’s Warm Homes programme, we provide compassionate, expert energy advice to individuals and families living in cold and inefficient homes.
By helping people reduce their energy use, access grants for insulation and home upgrades, and understand sustainable energy choices, we are directly cutting carbon emissions while improving lives.
This work has a dual impact: tackling fuel poverty and reducing the environmental footprint of local homes.
Hosting Low-Waste, Eco-Conscious Events
At our events and activities, we focus on reducing waste and promoting environmental responsibility. This includes:
Minimising single-use plastics
Using recyclable or compostable materials
Offering more sustainable catering options
Encouraging attendees to bring their own reusable bottles or bags
Our goal is to lead by example — showing that community events can be vibrant, welcoming, and environmentally responsible at the same time.
Encouraging Sustainable Travel
We encourage our team, volunteers, and visitors to use public transport, walk, or carpool wherever possible. Although we do not operate our own vehicle fleet, we are mindful of the transport choices we support.
We aim to keep travel emissions low by using local venues and planning accessible events for the communities we serve.
Everyday Sustainability in Our Workplace
Sustainability is embedded in our day-to-day operations. From reusing materials and recycling to switching off devices when not in use, we aim to keep our carbon footprint low within the workplace.
We also make conscious choices when sourcing supplies, prioritising sustainable, ethical, and locally sourced products whenever possible.
